Elegant Italian design. Terrazzo flooring was born when Venetian craftsmen reused construction remnants to create a flooring that is practical, eco-friendly, and stunning. But the terrazzo at the Village Inn in Vandenberg Village was a decade old and ugly, much of it in serious need of repair. When a new restaurant was scheduled to open on the site, Green Polishing Solutions set about to replace the terrazzo’s problem areas, challenged by the need to match the old with the new. We designed and developed unique concrete mixes that our firm’s innovation expert patented them. We also made sure to accentuate the natural sparkle in the greens and blues of the glass shards and stones.
